James “Jim” R. Redies, age 87, of Browntown, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the SSM Health Hospital in Monroe.  He was born on February 13, 1938, the son of Henry and Minnie (Wendt) Redies.  Jim proudly served his country in the United States Navy. On September 24. 1961 James married Karen Sundermeyer in Readlyn, IA. 

Jim farmed in north-east Iowa before moving to Wisconsin where he started his career as a milk fieldman at Chula Vista Cheese for many years.  He was a faithful member of Grace Lutheran Church and was actively involved with the Browntown Fire Department and EMT service, where he served as treasurer. He also served on the board of Green County Crime Stoppers for six years.

Jim is survived by his wife, Karen; daughters, Wendy Redies and Heidi Redies both of Browntown; and granddaughter, Karlie Redies of Monroe.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Marvin Redies.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home with Pastor John Tabka officiating.
