James A. "Jim" Beckman, 74, of Oglesby, IL and formerly of Monroe, Wisconsin, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Allure of Peru.
Jim was born on February 26, 1949 in Monroe, WI to Glenn and Loretta (Howe) Beckman. He graduated from Monroe High School with the Class of 1967. Jim was employed as a senior territory manager for Pennzoil for over 25 years. He loved guns, fishing, and hunting.
Survivors include his three sons, Eric (Jessica) Beckman of Pittsburgh, PA, Brandon Beckman of Monroe Center, IL, and James Beckman of Tonica, IL; two step-children, Heather Riley of Oglesby, IL and James Sundley of Rockford, IL; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Fred (Margaret) Beckman and Peggy (David) Meier both of Monroe, WI, Helen Martin and Ted Beckman both of Madison, WI, Ed (Lynn) Beckman of Monroe, WI, Harold (Kellie) Beckman of Madison, WI, and Jerry (Paula) Beckman of Monroe, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Troy Beckman; one sister, Glenda Beckman; one great-granddaughter, Angel May ; one brother-in-law, Jon Martin; one nephew, Adam Martin; and his two four-legged companions, Chomper and Rafe.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 16, 2023 in East Clarno Cemetery in rural Monroe, WI. A Celebration of Life will follow at Clarno Zion United Methodist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru.
