James F. Menehan, age 85, of Monroe passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at home.  He was born on August 11, 1938 the son of Frank and Edna (Flanagan) Menehan.  He graduated from Monroe High School.  He went on to graduate from Loras College in Dubuque; he also received his Law Degree from Creighton University School of Law.

He worked at CUNA Mutual in Madison for 25 years, retiring at a young age to help his parents.  He was a member of St. Victor’s Catholic Church and enjoyed golfing, and exercising at the YMCA.  

James is survived by many cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor’s Catholic Church with Father David Flanagan and Father Chahm Gahng co-officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
