Gary Burdette Gill, 69 of Juda WI. passed away on March 30, 2025 of a short battle of liver disease surrounded by family. Born April 7, 1955 to Burdette & Darlene (Malkow) Gill-Meier in Monroe WI. Gary graduated from Albany High School the Class of 1974. He married the love of his life Karen (Tway) on March 22, 1975 in Albany WI. Gary & Karen just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with Family and Close Friends.
Gary enjoyed Farming, Camping, UTV/4 Wheeling, Nascar Races with his racing buddy Fay. But most of all enjoyed spending time with Family and Friends, even if it was on the deck having a cold one.
Gary’s greatest love for farming came from his father Burdette after losing him at the early age of 6. Then after farming he worked many various agricultural jobs in the surrounding area. If not farming he was camping/UTVing with their camping duo Fay and Lis Briggs and all their kids and grandkids. He also enjoyed watching the grandkids' sporting events, FFA Banquets and band concerts. Gary also was enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers.
Gary and Karen farmed and raised two children. Shari (Ryan) Berget, Brodhead WI and Larry (Ashley) Gill, Brodhead WI. Helping raise eight grandchildren Blaine (Special Friend Kaitlyn) Berget, Kassandra (Fiancé Dayton) Berget, Rianna, Katie, Tenley & Brogen Sullivan, Kenslee & Gage Gill.
Also survived by his mother Darlene Gill-Meier, sister Colleen (Steve) Hartwig and brother Lonnie (Judy) Gill. Step Siblings Harvey (late Christine) Kubly, Ursula (late John) Meier, Kathy (Lenny) Cederholm, Dewey (Jeannie) Meier, Cindy (Dave) Haberman, Keith (Julie) Meier, and many nieces & nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his father Burdette W Gill, Step Father Alfred Meier, In laws John and Mary Tway, Brothers in law Doug & Bruce Tway, Step siblings Christine Kubly & John Meier. Nephews Jeff Tway and Brad Briggs.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at: shgfuneralhome.net.
