Gail L. Svendsen age 56 of Monroe, died peacefully Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Community Living Home in Monroe, surrounded by her family, after a four-year battle with dementia. She was born on August 12, 1964 in Monroe, the daughter of Don and Stella (Boss) Svendsen. She attended South Wayne High School. Gail married Mark Wenger in 1980 in Monroe. She worked for several cheese factories, was a cook at Dairy Queen and also owned her own cleaning business. She enjoyed many different things, photography, dancing, was part of a bowling league at Leisure Lanes, she loved to decorate her kitchen with apples, going to Yellowstone Lake, garage sales, bingo, and loved to sing – especially in the car.
She is survived by her father, Don Svendsen of Browntown; children: Brandon Wenger of Monroe, Rebecca (Luis Varela) Wenger of Johnson Creek, Brent Wenger, Braiden (Jose) Garcia, and Brayle (Genna) Svendsen, all of Monroe; 12 grandchildren; siblings: Donny (Bonnie) Svendsen, Cynthia Svendsen, Terry (Marie) Svendsen, Mickey Strothman, Tammy Strothman, Norma Johnson, Stella (Jim) Cosek, and Lewis Coulthardt; sister-in-laws: Joyce Voegeli and Connie Strothman.
She was preceded in death by her mother, brothers: Albert, Stanley, and Norman.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Sarah Mae Gabuyo officiating. Burial will be in Saucerman cemetery.
