Evelyn M. Williams age 95 of Darlington, WI passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Sienna Crest Assisted Living Center in Darlington. She was born May 27, 1925 in Brodhead, WI, the daughter of Segel and Gladys (Bliss) Lunde. Evelyn graduated from Brodhead High School in 1943. She worked at Green County Bank in Brodhead before her marriage to Russell Williams on February 23, 1946 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brodhead. She lived and farmed with her husband in the Juda, WI area for two years, before moving to rural Monroe, WI, where they continued to farm for four years and in Brodhead for eight years. In 1959, they moved to Fayette Township where they farmed until their retirement in 1972. Evelyn then became a bookkeeper and teller at First National Bank in Darlington until 1987.

Evelyn is survived by two daughters: Carla Larson of Tuttle, OK, and Jolene (Richard Huff) Pickett of Brookings, OR; one grandson: Preston (Tracy) Larson of Norman, OK; two great-grandsons: Peter and Jasper Larson; one great-granddaughter: Persephone Larson; and one sister: Sharon Homernik of Janesville, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Russ; and one sister: Gloria Haroldson; two brothers-in-law: David Homernik and Curtis Haroldson; and one son-in-law: Peter Larson.

Evelyn was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington, its Women of ELCA, its quilting group, its organist for 50 years, and its choir. She was an avid musician and enjoyed traveling.

Private family funeral services will be held at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main St., Darlington) with Rev. Kate Kieckhafer of Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.
