Ellen M. Malkow age 62 of Monroe, died Friday, April 8, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on April 7, 1960 in Monroe, the daughter of Emil and Marcella (Kammerude) Klarer. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1978 and attended MATC for two years. Ellen married Mike D. Malkow on September 7, 1985 in Monroe. She was a stay-at-home mother; who enjoyed crocheting, and most importantly, babysitting her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Mike of Monroe; children: Jennifer (Kyle) Thorp of Monroe and Christopher (Jillian) Malkow of Monroe; grandchildren: Franklin and Finley Thorp and Carson Malkow; brother, Patrick (Mary Alice) Klarer of Verona; honorary sister, Linda Mueller of Janesville, sister, Mary Kay Logamann of Plattville. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Fr. Michael Klarer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 14, 2022 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home, with Rev.Tiff Bates officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. And again Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
