Ellen M. Broge, age 68, of Monroe, died on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Encompass Health Hospital in Fitchburg, WI, following complications from heart surgery. Ellen was born on July 25, 1956 in Joliet, IL, the daughter of Walter and Iona (Maltby) Corp. She graduated from Orangeville High School in 1974. Ellen was employed as a Claim Clerk at Wal-Mart for over 30 years until retiring in 2019. She was united in marriage to Marvin C. Broge on April 20, 2013.  She enjoyed many outdoor activities including cook outs, fishing, camping, gardening, and in her younger years, playing volleyball. She bowled to support Big Brothers/Big Sisters and loved spending time with her grandchildren and visiting childhood friends and family.

Ellen is survived by her husband, Marvin Broge; Children, Cassie Segner, Andrea (Dave) Rawson, all of Monroe, Ben Broge of Janesville, Melissa Tadisch (Craig) of Green Bay; eight grandchildren, Natalee, Chesney, Jordan, Ryan, Kylee, Brayden, Liam, and Finn; and a sister, Jackie Spencer of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, LeRoy and Allen Corp; mother and father-in-law, Lillian Phillips and Clifford Broge; and sisters-in-law, Wanda Wiegel and Rita Hanson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Monroe Moose Lodge. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, February 21, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A memorial fund will be established in Ellen’s name.
