Eleanor S. Guthrie, age 85 of Argyle, died Saturday, October 11, 2025 at home. She was born on March 16, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of George and Olive (Evans) McCall. She graduated from Central Bucks High School in Doylestown, in 1958. Eleanor married Lauren F. Guthrie Sr. on October 18, 1958 in Chalfont, Pennsylvania. She ran her own Greenhouse for many years and at the same time drove School Bus, mostly for Monticello, for 30 years. In addition to her other jobs, Eleanor helped her husband with his own endeavors.

She is survived by her children: Buck (Janice) Guthrie of Argyle, George (Cindy) Guthrie of Augusta, GA, Don Guthrie of Argyle, and Chris (Amanda) Guthrie of Argyle; 8 grandchildren: Mollie, Dylan, Justin, Jake, Rachel, Chelsey, Cassandra, and Christopher; brother: Robert McCall of Albany; and special friend, Laurie Guthrie. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Lauren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Monticello. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
