Duane L. Drye age 85 of Beloit died Sunday July 7, 2019 in his home. He was born October 18, 1933 to the late Leonard and Viola (Bidlingmeir) Drye in Cadiz, WI. Duane married Darlene Knight on January 31, 1953 in Lena, IL. She preceded him in death on January 2, 1999. He was employed as a tool grinder at the Beloit Corp for 42 1/2 years until his retirement. Duane then worked as the bar manager at the VFW for over ten years. He enjoyed bowling throughout the region and was elected into the City of Beloit Hall of Fame. Duane was an avid deer hunter and also enjoyed traveling and gambling. He will be remembered as a great Chicago Bear and Cub fan, who was thrilled the Cubbies finally won a World Series.

Duane is survived by his four children, Wayne (Peggy) Drye, Brenda (Donald) Kempf, Terri (friend, Larry) Coleman and Gary (Pam) Drye; twelve grandchildren; Stephen (Deseree), Crystal (Stephen), Mary, Jason, Sara (Billy), Eric, Ryan (Valerie), Chad, Cheyenne, Sierra, Jeremy (friend, Brandi) and Amanda (Zach); seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild on the way! He is further survived by his three brothers, Dwight Drye, El (Teri) Drye and George Drye; his four sisters, Gloria Quinn, Alice (Donald) Olson, Joyce Mau and Rosie (Tom) Durtschi; his sister in law, Donna Drye and many friends, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brother, Don his sister Ruthann Albrecht, his two brothers in law, Paul Mau & Emmitt Quinn and his close friend, Shirley Turner.

Duane's Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2019 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit. Visitation will be on Wednesday in the Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Floral Lawns Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Agrace Hospice in is name.
