It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas Frederick Williams announces his passing on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his home in Sister Bay, WI. He was born on July 3rd, 1961, in Monroe, WI, the son of Walter and Gladys Williams. He was raised on a farm with his 4 siblings. He graduated from Brodhead High School in Brodhead. Doug married the love of his life Terri Williams in Jamaica on April 26, 1994, and they enjoyed nearly 31 years of marriage. Doug was also the greatest father to Aleah, Parker and Jayden. Growing up, Doug loved everything with an engine, this led to him eventually starting a business, the Ultra Shop, in Brodhead where he built award-winning cars. He passed this passion down to his boys and introduced them to go-kart racing. He began working at Knight Mfg (now Kuhn) in Oct. 1987 where he dedicated over 37 years of service until his passing. During his time at Kuhn, he was able to travel the world, making many friends across the globe and country, accruing countless experiences and stories. This also led to a deep involvement in the agricultural community where he was involved in World Dairy Expo, National FFA, Farm Technology days and many others. Doug was an incredible woodworker and handyman as well. He used his skillset to help remodel his house and barns in Evansville that so many got to enjoy. The barn held many special celebrations and gatherings, including the weddings of two of his children. He also was able to build his and Terri's beautiful new home in Door County. His breadth of knowledge and skill made him an incredible resource to help countless people with seemingly any issue imaginable. Doug was always happy to share a story, experience, advice or a helping hand to anyone that asked. He was a family man above all else, and he will be incredibly missed. Douglas is survived by his wife Terri; Children, Aleah Kidd (Brody), Parker Williams (Violet) and Jayden Williams; Siblings, Jeffrey (Karen) Williams of Brodhead, Jennifer (Guy) Dion of Brodhead, Bradley (Marci) Williams of Brodhead, and Joel (Suzonne) Williams of Keithville, LA; Grandchildren, Maiken and Zadie Kidd, and Baby Williams on the way. Also, many nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Harold McDonough and sister-in-law Jan Williams. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Evansville United Methodist Church with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of services at church. Visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00 PM on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Ward-Hurtley Funeral Home, Evansville. Burial will be at a later date.
