Dorson Bruce Penniston was born on December 7, 1961 to Bruce (Izzy) and Anita (Bisegger) Penniston. He passed after a short but hard fought battle with cancer on June 21, 2022 at the Monroe Clinic Hospice Home in Monroe, WI.
Dorson graduated from Argyle high School class of 1980. He worked at Argyle Industries and for the last 20 years at Minhas Brewery in Monroe. He was a big fan of the Brewers, Packers, and Badgers. He was a quiet man with a deep voice and a love for old time country music. If a polka was playing you can bet he’d find a dance partner and be tearing up the dance floor. His all time favorite hobby was skydiving making 11 jumps. He tried to talk everyone he knew into trying it at least once – and he succeeded in many of them doing just that.
He loved his family most of all.
He is survived by his mother Anita; his children: Stefani (Tyler) and CJ Penniston; grandchildren: Isabel, Kayleigh, Raiden, Gage, Alexis, and Halle; his sister: Deb (Brian) Weissenfluh; a brother: Dan (Karin) Penniston; a niece: Dana (Mike) Smith and their children: Kenna, Koddee, Kolton and Zander; a nephew, Travis (Alissa) Weissenfluh and their children, Hazel, Lucy, Henry, and Weston; a nephew: James Armstrong; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and his great friends, Jim (Rhonda) Bartels.
He was preceded in death by his father: Izzy in 1999; his grandparents: Jake and Lucile Bisegger, and Hoot and Alice Penniston.
Per his wishes there will be no visitation but a Celebration of Life at the Corner Pub and Deli in Argyle, Saturday, August 13th, from 1 to 5 p.m.
Memorials may be sent to SSM Monroe Hospice Home at N3252 County Rd. N, Monroe, WI 53566 in Dorson’s name.
