Doris M. Wilde, 93, of Monroe, died Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe. Doris was born on May 13, 1929 in Lafayette County, the daughter of John and Pearl (Doering) Iseli. She was united in marriage to Harry A. Wilde on November 18, 1944 at St. John’s United Church of Christ. Doris worked at the McLellan’s Store in Monroe for 30 years and part time at the Swiss Colony and Monroe Shopping News until retiring.
Doris was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, enjoyed playing cards, attending parades, and was a Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan. Most of all, Doris loved her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly (Dennis) Stuckey of Monroe; a son, Ronald Wilde of Palm Bay, FL; four grandchildren, Nicholas Wilde, Larkin Wilde (Brandon Jukubik), Dawn (Sam) Steinhoff, Jason (Amie) Stuckey; 8 great grandchildren, Brady, Luke, Emma Steinhoff, Eliana and Jameson Stuckey, and Emerson, Haven, and Graelyn Jukubik; and a cousin, Homer (Karen) Troy of Loves Park, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry, on Dec. 2, 1989; and daughter-in-law, Elaine Wilde.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, with Rev. Todd Hackman officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, followed by a luncheon at the Monroe Moose Lodge. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, February 2, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established in Doris’ name for St. John’s United Church of Christ.
