Doris J. Boyle, 76, of Darlington, WI passed away peacefully on Monday, November 22, 2021 at the Lafayette County Manor in Darlington. She was born on January 10, 1945, in Monroe, WI, to Clayton and Betty Hauser. Growing up in South Wayne, WI and Darlington, Doris attended school for 14 years where she graduated from Darlington High School and went on to the University of Wisconsin Platteville. She then farmed in Fayette, WI and raised her family.

Doris is survived by her children: Sharon (Tony) Fink, Tom (Diane) Boyle, Tamara Boyle, and Pat (Tasha Gallagher) Boyle; grandchildren: Angie (Ted) McDermott, Cassie (Colby) Reichling, Kelsey (Austin) Gant, and Riley (fiancé: Sheena Speth) Gallagher and Shane Gallagher; great-grandchildren: Gracey, Layla, Kane, and Adelynn McDermott, Ava and Boone Reichling, and Rinley and Baylor Gant; brother, Robert Hauser; sister, Judi Hauser; and sister-in-law: Karen Hauser.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Clayton “Chuck” Hauser and Dick Hauser; sister, Pat Ward; and brother-in-law, Walt Ward.

Doris was a member of the Darlington Saddle Club, Darlington Softball League, Ranch House Lanes Bowling League, and was a 4-H Leader.

Doris loved driving bus for the Darlington School District. She enjoyed the daily routes with all the young kids, and driving the older kids to sporting events. Doris enjoyed bowling on a league for many years. She was a softball pitcher that many women will remember as being very good! Doris will be remembered by all for her love of animals, especially her horses. She enjoyed many local rides, Ontario rides, and the rides out west.

A funeral service will be held Friday, November 26, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Erickson Funeral Home (508 Main St., Darlington) with Rev. Nick J. McElrath of First Baptist Church in Darlington officiating. Burial will be in Apple Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Debbie Golackson for being a special caregiver to mom. We would also like to thank Dr. Cleary, Agrace Hospice, and the Manor staff (especially her daughter-in-law Diane Boyle) for the wonderful care mom received.
