Delores also enjoyed many weekends with her longtime friend and companion, Harold Rufenacht at a lake house in Prairie du Sac. She was always the first to have a pole in the water to fish and they spent countless hours together taking the pontoon boat around the lake.
In her later years she enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches, and feeding and watching birds outside her home. She was a modest, blue-jeans kind of person but always made sure to have herself put together, she liked to have her makeup done and jewelry on no matter the occasion.
