Delores E. McHardie, age 83, of Monroe passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at SSM Health Hospice Home.  She was born on July 5, 1942 the daughter of Jordahl and Sylvia (Hayes) Haugen.  She attended Westby High School.  On June 20, 1975 she married Rex McHardie in Janesville. Delores was a CNA for 50 years having worked at Mercy Hospital in Janesville and Rock Haven Nursing Home.  She enjoyed gardening, watching birds, traveling, and fishing. 

Delores is survived by her husband, Rex of Monroe; children, Al (Ellen) Miller of Brodhead and Katherine (Ron) Linder of Blanchardville; four grandchildren, Ross Linder, Kaitlyn Linder, Cory (Liz) Linder, and Alexis Miller; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Lawrence Haugen of Viroqua; and nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.   

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Robert; great-grandson, Cullen; brothers Alvin and Rudy; and sister-in-law, Patricia Haugen.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. 

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Pleasant View Cemetery in Westby, WI.
