Delbert “Jack” Boss, age 89, of Monroe, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. He was born on November 28, 1929, the son of Albert and Bessie (Fischer) Boss in Albany. Jack was united in marriage to Sally Ann Wild on August 24, 1979 in New Glarus.

He enjoyed picking up “junk” to be salvaged, fishing, and playing cards, especially bingo and euchre.

Jack is survived by his wife, Sally of Monroe; step-children, Julian (Jenny Redick) Boss, Christine (Tony) Portman, and William (Jean) Boss all of Monroe; eight step-grandchildren; twelve step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ervin (Ralph Howe) Boss of Rockford and Wilbert (Nola Grinnell) Boss of Albany; brother-in-law, Don Svendson of Browntown; and sister-in-law, Kay Boss of Monroe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Clara (Ralph) Leopold, Stella Svendson, Lorraine (Russell) Richards, and Delores (Lester) King; and brother, Victor Boss.

Memorial Services will be held at 7PM on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Liberty Baptist Church in Monroe with Pastor Steve Owen officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6PM until the time of service at the church. Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
