Dr. James Stormont, age 97, of Monroe died July 4, 2023.
 A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 26th, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Monroe Golf Club, 2205 21st. Street, Monroe. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Green County Family YMCA capital campaign or to the Green County Humane Society in honor of his loyal canine companion, Lola. Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family.
