David Alan Zuberbuhler, age 67, of Monroe formerly of Gratiot passed away on Friday, at his home. He was born the son of Edward “Eddie” and Elaine (Uren) Zuberbuhler on July 30, 1957 in Monroe. He was a 1975 graduate of Black Hawk High School. Dave was united in marriage to Rebecca L. Ganshert on April 4, 1981 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gratiot. 

Dave farmed for most of his life in the Gratiot area until 2001 when he started Zube’s Auto located on the family farm. He had a passion for cars and driving, he especially liked classic cars. He also enjoyed playing euchre and riding 4-wheelers.  

Dave is survived by his wife, Becky; children, Chad (Lisa) Zuberbuhler and Lacey (Rob) Long; six grandchildren, Piper, Tucker, Riley, Grace, Jaxson, and Olivia; siblings, Greg (Kathy) Zuberbuhler and Deb (Ben) Lawton. He is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernie (Elaine) Ganshert, Gloria Ganshert, Cam (Gary) VonGlahn, Bill Ganshert, Eloise (Merlin) Andrews, Debby (Gary) Smith, Vicky (Roger) Jackson, Mary (Dick) Campbell, and Lorelei Ganshert; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law, Anna and Lawrence Ganshert; brothers-in-law, Alan and Joe Ganshert; and sister-in-law, Merna Ganshert. 

A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 30, 2025 at St. Victor’s Catholic Church of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Monroe, with Father Chahm Gahng as celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Gratiot at a later date. 

Visitation will be held Friday at the church, from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Please feel free to come as you are, casual attire.

Dave’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses with SSM Health at Home Hospice for their loving care and compassion.
