Daniel R. Stoudt, age 76 of Gratiot passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at SSM Health Monroe Hospital. He was born on January 29, 1949 the son of Harry and Ardella (Kelley) Stoudt. Dan graduated from Dixon High School. He then went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in History from Western IL University. On September 11, 1970 Dan married Carol Reh in Wenona, IL.

Dan worked as an engineer at Advance Transformer for 30 years. He was a member of the APO “Alpha Phi Omega” Fraternity. Dan loved traveling, especially internationally, taking care of his property, finding solutions to small problems, gardening, and sharing his love of all things plants with family and friends. Dan was an avid blood donor and believed in always sharing your abundance with others. His family encourages anyone who is able to donate blood to do so in his memory.

Dan is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol of Gratiot; children, Erin (Tom Suelflow) Stoudt of Woodbury, MN, Jessica (fiancé, Michael Messina) Duckwitz of Edgerton, WI, Breighton (Jon Rupp) Larson of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Nathan (Erica) Stoudt of Arlington, WI; father, Harry Stoudt of Sterling, IL; grandchildren, Arwen and Henry Duckwitz and Eleanor Rupp; siblings, Kelly Stoudt of Lena, IL, and William (Sandy) Stoudt of Madison, WI.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
