MONROE – Dallas C. Wild, age 97, of Monroe passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on July 16, 1922 on a farm in the Town of Montrose the son of Jacob J. and Markert (Prior) Wild. As a child Dallas moved with his family to New Glarus where he grew up and attended school. On September 28, 1945 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Bidlingmaier at the Washington Reformation Church, where he has been a faithful member since. Dallas worked for Pet Milk in New Glarus for nine years and then went farming until retiring in 1985. He was a handyman and tinkerer who had the knowledge and skills to repair just about anything. Dallas also enjoyed woodworking and puzzles.

Dallas is survived by his wife Dorothy, daughter Dianne (Larry) Kundert, son Dennis Wild, grandchildren Michelle (Fred) Kelley, Joseph (friend Kim) Kundert, and Brent (Kim) Kundert, great-grandchildren Kyle and Shaun Kelley and Daniel and Dylan Kundert. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law Ruth Wild and Jean (Daryl) Kleckner, brother-in-law Herbert Baumgartner, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Evelyn Albertson and Marcella “Sally” Hoffmaster, brothers Chester, Bernie, Davey, and Mark Wild.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 3, 2020 at the Washington Reformation Church, N6026 Church Rd., Monticello, WI with the Rev. Kelly Volk officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

A visitation will precede the funeral service from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Monday, February 3, 2020 at the Washington Reformation Church.

The Zentner-Beal Funeral Home of New Glarus is assisting the family.
