Charles Patrick Hickey, age 68, of Monroe passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Charles was born the son of Charles J. and Josephine (Becker) Hickey on March 13, 1952 in LaCrosse. He was a graduate of Aquinas High School in LaCrosse. Charles was united in marriage to Brenda Lea Boss on October 23, 1976 at St. John’s United Church of Christ; she preceded him in death on July 5, 2008.

Charles was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor’s Catholic Church in Monroe. He enjoyed playing cards and Scrabble with his family.

Charles is survived by his children, Jennifer (Clark) Fox, Christopher (Jennifer) Hickey, Nicholas (fiancé, Megan Anders) Hickey, Thomas Hickey, and John (Jen Holmes) Hickey; six grandchildren, Taylor and Bella Teasdale, Sebastian and Lyncoln Fox, and Madelyn and William Hickey; and two sisters, Margaret (Michael) Hoff and Kathleen (Jesse) Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Brenda; granddaughter, Anya Teasdale; and sister, MaryAnn (Leon) Demorest.

A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor’s Catholic Church and burial at Calvary Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Victor’s Catholic Church or a charity of choice.
