Chandler James Kiesz Siegenthaler (nee Tarala) age 26 passed away at his home in Monticello. He was born May 7, 1999 in Rochester, MN the son of Michael Tarala and Sara Kiesz. Chandler graduated from New Glarus High School in 2017 and continued his education at Southwest Tech earning a degree in welding.
Chandler had many nicknames that his friends and family would share with you, but the most important names he had was Son, Brother, Grandson, Uncle, Cousin, Nephew and Friend. As a young child he would enjoy every moment he could outdoors; fishing, hunting, farming, and shooting bow in the backyard. He was an extremely hard worker, starting as young as 13 working on local Green County farms, moving to kitchen work at Toffler’s and ending up in Belleville working for Anderson Custom Processing.
It would be remiss to leave out the strong network of friends that became Chandler’s extended family. From his High School “Rat Pack” days to today’s group of extremely loyal friends. He was involved in archery, loved to cook his own supply of venison and turkey and recently surprised people with his self-taught piano playing.
Motorcycles brought Chandler great joy. He learned balance and riding with his Papa, traveling to North Dakota and having adventures only the two of them will ever know. The moment he was able, he obtained his license and the road was his. He continued to travel around with his Papa and expanded his riding group to travel near and far, including a cross-country trip with buddies. Often, he would stop before a ride to enjoy a homemade breakfast by his Grandma or a strong cup of coffee from his Mom. Nora preferred riding with him on four wheels listening to music.
Chandler is survived by his mother Sara (Jason Oppliger) Kiesz, father Michael Tarala, step-father Heath Siegenthaler, siblings Nora (Jacob Krantz) Tarala, Evan (Kayla Skeel) Siegenthaler, and Cassidee (Jeremiah Hanner) Siegenthaler, and special nieces Scarlett and Hazel. He is further survived by his grandparents Butch & Chris Kiesz and John & Kathy Tarala, aunt Katie (Doug) Sichmeller and her family Hunter & Dylan along with many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Chandler’s life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Toffler’s Pub & Grill, 200 Fifth Ave., New Glarus, WI.
