Carolyn Faye Engesser, age 75, of Monroe passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the SSM Health Hospital in Monroe. She was born on November 7, 1947 the daughter of Marion and Betty (Edwards) Pollard in Braymer, MO. She graduated from Platteville High School and went on to attend South West Technical College. On July 5, 1975 Carolyn married the love of her life Franz Engesser at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA.
Carolyn worked at Advance Transformers Company, The Monroe Clinic, and Pleasant View Nursing Home; her favorite job though was taking care of her home and family which she was very proud of. Carolyn enjoyed traveling and taking vacations with Franz and their children, she especially enjoyed visiting national parks. She had also visited 47 of the 48 continental US States. As she got older, she enjoyed taking day trips, going to visit Amish places for flowers and fresh produce. She always looked forward to the fall season to take rides to visit her sons and see the fall colors. She also loved reading, doing word searches, watching the Green Bay Packers, taking care of her flowers, and birdwatching; especially hummingbirds and cardinals. Carolyn was a very caring person; she made sure to always check in with her family to see how her nieces, nephews and their families were doing. She cherished her time with her sons when they visited every other weekend, and always counted down the days until their next visit. She also had a great bond with her cat, Tucker.
