Bryan S. Buri, 61, of Browntown passed away with his wife at his side, on Monday February 28, at St. Mary’s in Madison. Born in Monroe on December 6, 1960, Bryan was the son of Albert and Shirley (Geigel) Buri. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1979. While in high school, Bryan participated in football, swing choir, and band.
Following high school, he graduated from UW-Platteville with a degree in Business Administration. He worked at Colony Brands for 37 years, rising to Manager of Distribution.
Bryan married the former Sharon Ruth Krupke on April 25, 1992, at St. John’s Church in Monroe. They made their home on the outskirts of Browntown and enjoyed quiet time in the country caring for the lawn, gardens and flower beds. He also coached his sons’ little league teams; he enjoyed bowling, golfing, shooting pool, attending tractor & truck pulls and Bible study. Family was most important to Bryan; he cherished the time they shared together.
He was a lifetime, active member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and served on several committees. He was president and board member of the Friends of Cadiz Springs state park.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Brandon (Barbie) of Hartland, and their children, Briella and Barrett; daughter, April of Platteville; son, Adam of Browntown; mother, Shirley Buri of Monroe; sister, Beth (Paul) Rahn of Madison; sister, Bonnie Bork of Clinton, IA; sister, Becky Buri of Monroe; brother, Bruce Buri of Menomonee Falls; father-in-law, Wes (Gwenie) Krupke of Monroe; sister-in-law, Linda (Al) Bosman of Sheboygan Falls; brother-in-law, Ron (Lynn Novak) Krupke of Albany; sister-in-law, Jan (Bill Dehn) Krupke of Monticello; sister-in-law, Marcia (Scott) Riddle of Madison; aunt, Aleatha Jordan of Juda; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his father, Albert Buri of Monroe; mother-in-law, Dorothy Krupke of Albany; and sister-in-law, Dawn Buri of Menomonee Falls.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 5th at St. John’s United Church of Christ, with Reverend Tiff Bates officiating. Masks are requested.
A visitation will be held Friday evening, March 4th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home.
A memorial fund is being established in Bryan’s name.
