Brenda M. Goebel, age 60, of Monroe passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at SSM Health Hospital in Monroe.  She was born on January 24, 1965 the daughter of Karl and Barbara (Carpenter) Goebel.  She graduated from Monroe High School in 1983.

Brenda owned and operated Brenda’s Pet Sitting and Dog Walking. She loved animals, especially dogs, they held a special place in her heart.  She enjoyed fishing, painting, cooking, kayaking, and road trips.  Music was a big passion of hers; she loved listening to rock and roll and country music.  When Brenda was younger, she enjoyed running and did marathons. 

Brenda is survived by her significant other, Harvey Goepfert of Monroe; siblings, Maureen (Jim) Gordon of Oregon, Jay (Sarah) Goebel of Monroe, Randy (Nicky) Goebel, and Mathew (Mareth Ellsworth) Goebel both of Browntown; aunts, Margie Treuthardt of Argyle and Eleanor (Vernon) Gille of Gratiot; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and very dear friends, Glenda Wyss and Jodi Ensor-Medina.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Donna at birth.
