Betty L. Edgar, age 84 of Brodhead, died Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Mercy Hospital Janesville. She was born on July 8, 1937 in Brodhead, the daughter of Nelson and Myrtle (Bork) Christensen. She graduated from Brodhead High School in 1955. Betty married Gerald L. Edgar on January 29, 1956 in Brodhead. She worked at Goldenrod Cheese factory, Doorman Cheese factory, Knight Manufacturing, and for the last 20 years at Walmart. She was a member of Washington Reformation Church in Monticello. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and antiquing with her sisters. Betty was a beautiful, intelligent lady who lived with a fierce independence, gave generously, and loved deeply.

She is survived by her children: Wayne (Gail) Edgar of Ravenden, AR, Debra (Donald) Harris of Ravenden, AR, Gary Edgar of Brodhead, and Kevin (Angeline) Edgar of Portage; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Lynda (Jim) Mauermann of Brodhead; and brother-in-law, Wayne (Ruth) Gibson of Brodhead.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Karen Gibson; grandchildren: Eric and Lisa Edgar.

Graveside services will be held at Greenwood cemetery in Brodhead at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 27, 2022.
