Betty A. Howard, age 92 of Darlington, WI passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at Monroe Health Services in Monroe, WI. She was born January 6, 1930 in Darlington Township in Lafayette County, WI the daughter of Milo and Lola (Carpenter) Coulthard. Betty lived in the Darlington area most of her life. On October 12, 1949, Betty was united in marriage to the love of her life, Calvin C. Howard at First Baptist Church in Darlington. Together they farmed in Willow Springs Township until 1971 when they moved into the city of Darlington. In 1969, Betty began working for Borg Instrument in Darlington and later for Barber-Coleman-Merkl Korf for 14 years until retiring in 1998.

Betty is survived by her son: Steven Howard of Darlington; one sister-in-law: Marion Howard; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Calvin; and three brothers: Leo, Delbert (Edith), and Ronald (Shirley) Coulthard.

Betty attended Darlington United Methodist Church in Darlington. She was a proud member of Argyle Order of Eastern Star Alpha Chapter #32 and was Worthy Matron and Grand Representative of West Virginia. Betty enjoyed oil painting, sewing, and doing other crafts in her free time. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 7, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Darlington United Methodist Church (546 Park Place, Darlington) with Rev. InSun Lee officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington. A visitation will be held Monday, March 7, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at the church. An Order of the Eastern Star service will be performed by the Order of the Easter Star Alpha Chapter #32 at 10:45 A.M. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington is serving the family.
