Anna K. Venden, age 91, of Monroe passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Monroe Health Services.  She was born on June 6, 1934 the daughter of Alber and Mary (Berg) Weber.  She graduated from La Crosse High School.  On August 9, 1974 she married Jack Kubly.  She later married Merlin (Doc) Venden.  Anna worked as a nurse’s aide and assistant at different nursing homes throughout Brodhead and Monroe. In her free time Anna enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, and bingo.

Anna is survived by her husband Merlin of Monroe; children, Lawrence Venden and Marcus Venden both of Milwaukee and brother, Charles Frenzel.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; brothers, Albert, William; and sister, Lucy Moritz.   

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 12:00 PM Noon at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew Spoonhour officiating.  Burial will follow at York Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
