Angela Rae Johnson, age 45, of rural Browntown passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Agrace Center for Hospice and Palliative Care in Janesville, WI. She was born February 18,1973 in Monroe to Dwayne and Gloria (Voegeli) Godfrey. Angie was a 1991 graduate of Monroe High School. After graduation she worked at Rainbow Childcare; Monroe, TDS Metrocom; Madison, RR Donnelly; Monroe and most recently RBS Activewear; Argyle. She married Darwin Johnson on September 25, 2004.
Angie was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church in Browntown. In her spare time, Angie enjoyed scrap booking, cardmaking, rooting for the Badgers, Packers and Brewers and taking care of her fur babies Lilly and Loki. One of her greatest joys was having her nieces and nephew over for sleep overs with Wii bowling, dance parties and pancake breakfasts. Many family memories were made playing board games and cards.
Angie is survived by her husband Darwin, parents Dwayne & Gloria Godfrey; Monroe, sister Becky (Jason) Coppes; Monroe and sister Christy (Steve) Chojnacki; Colgate. She will forever be remembered as “Aunt G” to her nephew Ethan Coppes and nieces Lauren Coppes and Braelyn Chojnacki. She will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by grandparents Raymond & Esther Godfrey, Ralph & Inez Voegeli and a brother Greg, in infancy.
A visitation will be held Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 2pm -5pm at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe.
Funeral service will be held Monday, December 17, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in South Wayne with Pastor Dennis Perger officiating.
