Yard waste removal available

MONROE - City residents may begin raking leaves into the gutter in wind rows for pick up at no cost starting Oct. 15. Leaves will be picked up until Dec.1 or until the first significant snowfall.

Also, the Street Department will accept yard waste from Monroe residents from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 1064 5th Avenue.

This is free of charge and is for City of Monroe residents only.

Yard waste must be in clear bags and weigh no more than 60 pounds. Branches must be bundled in four-foot lengths and weigh no more than 60 pounds. Loose material will not be accepted.
