MADISON—Attention Wisconsin high school seniors seeking higher education: now is the time to apply for a Wisconsin State Telecommunications Foundation (WSTF) scholarship. TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) and other incumbent telephone companies across the state are teaming up to offer scholarships ranging from $750 to $1,500. In 2022, the Foundation awarded $50,250 to 36 students statewide.

“Each year, TDS is proud to support high school seniors in their pursuit of a degree in higher education,” said Angie Dickison, State Government Affairs manager at TDS. “Through the WSTF scholarship program, we aim to help ease the financial burden of college for young adults throughout the communities we serve.”

Interested high school seniors can apply online and review eligibility requirements at the WSTF Scholarship website. Applications must be electronically submitted by Feb. 10, 2023.

The WSTF panel will review all submitted applications. Finalists will be selected based on grades, academic achievements, and extra-curricular activities. Scholarships will be presented during the recipients’ high school graduation ceremonies or awards night programs.

Since 1966, the WSTF has awarded nearly $1.8 million in scholarships to more than 1,400 students. The Foundation is part of the Wisconsin State Telecommunications Association (WSTA), a trade organization representing more than 65 Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers (including TDS).
