MONROE - Two write-in candidates were elected to the Green County Board of Supervisors Tuesday.

Gordon Klossner was elected with one vote for District 19, which includes part of Albany township, according to Green County Clerk Mike Doyle. Klossner was willing to serve on the board, Doyle said.

Supervisor Allen Benzschawel, who represented District 19, decided not to seek another term on the board.

In District 29, Roger Truttman received eight write-in votes and accepted the position, Doyle said. The district includes part of New Glarus township.

Craig Foreback represented District 29 until October, when he resigned from the board. Foreback moved out of his district.

Klossner and Truttman will be sworn into office at the April 20 Green County Board meeting at the Green County Courthouse.
