MONROE - The "Raising A Thinking Child" workshop series will be offered for any parent, grandparent or guardian of children ages 4 through 7 years old. The workshops will take place from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22 and continue for seven weeks on Tuesdays through Dec. 3 at the Monroe Parks and Recreation department.

The workshops will be facilitated by Bridget Mouchon, Green County University of Wisconsin-Extension Family Living Agent, and social work Tracey Reich. Free childcare is available.

The series is designed to teach skills and techniques to help parents raise caring and thinking children, engage children in solving their own problems and become independent thinkers. Participants will learn how to use the language and skills of problem-solving with their children.

The cost is $15, which covers the cost of a workbook. Free childcare will be provided.
