MONROE - A Monroe woman was charged with what could be her fifth drunk driving offense after she collided with another vehicle on Thursday.

Tammy L. Klapper Kaderly, 44, has been convicted of operating while intoxicated three times in the past 15 years, and a fourth-offense charge is currently pending after an incident in July. A fifth-offense charge of operating while intoxicated is a Class H felony.

Kaderly was most recently arrested at the intersection of 10th Street and 25th Avenue, where she collided with another vehicle while making an illegal U-turn. After the accident, Kaderly fled to her nearby residence before later returning to the scene.

Kaderly was also charged with committing a hit-and-run and was cited for making an illegal U-turn, driving with a suspended license and refusing to take a sobriety test after arrest.

Kaderly's other pending drunk-driving charge stems from an incident on July 20, when police stopped her vehicle after observing her driving erratically. Kaderly signed a signature bond set at $1,500 on the condition that she not possess or consume any alcohol.

Because she violated the terms of her bond, Kaderly was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of bail-jumping on Monday.

Court records show that Kaderly's third-offense OWI occurred in 2001. She was sentenced to 135 days in jail and fined $1,660.

Kaderly will appear in court for both pending OWI charges on Dec. 1 for a pre-trial conference.
