MONROE - A Monroe woman arrested following a stabbing Friday is scheduled to make her initial appearance today in Green County Circuit Court.
Sheryl A. Vincent, 44, is charged with second-degree reckless injury, a class F felony, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor.
She faces more than 12 years in prison and up to $26,000 in fines, if convicted. Vincent remains jailed pending her initial appearance.
According to the Monroe Police Department, officers were dispatched at about 6 p.m. Friday to a residence in the 800 block of 20th Avenue following a report of a stabbing.
An initial investigation revealed a 52-year-old man had been stabbed in the side of the chest with a kitchen knife, with a blade length of about 4 inches, during a domestic dispute.
The victim had serious injuries and was taken to the Monroe Clinic by Green County Emergency Medical Services.
He was later transported to the University of Wisconsin Hospital by Med-Flight.
