MONROE — A Browntown woman died hours after crashing her car Friday, Aug. 2, according to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.

Daria Lynn Beutel, 26, was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Her death marks Green County’s fourth traffic fatality of 2019.

The rollover crash was reported at about 5:30 p.m. on County C, about a mile to the east of Puddledock Road, Town of Adams.

An investigation found that Beutel was eastbound when she failed to negotiate a curve, lost control and went off the road into the east ditch. She then overcorrected and went back across the road into the west ditch, where her vehicle became airborne and overturned about three times. It came to rest in a field to the west of the road.

Beutel was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. She was flown by Med Flight helicopter to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. Doctors reported to the sheriff’s office that she died as a result of her injuries at about 9:55 p.m. that night.

Green County EMS, Argyle EMS, the Argyle Fire Department and Wisconsin State Patrol assisted deputies at the scene. The vehicle was towed with severe damage and no airbag deployment.
