Monroe’s Walmart remodel unveiled in ribbon-cutting
MONROE — Walmart customers in Monroe were welcomed inside the newly transformed Supercenter at 300 6th Ave West Friday morning, May 19, as the much-anticipated project is now complete. The store’s associates marked the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony and community celebration.
During this morning’s celebration, Walmart store manager Sarah Voegeli highlighted the Supercenter’s transformed departments as well as the new interactive features now available to customers, including:
● New $1 Shop at the front of the store
● Online Grocery Pickup being moved to a more convenient location
● 8 additional self-checkout lanes near the Grocery department
● Remodeled bathrooms throughout the store
● Remodeled mother’s room
● New Grab & Go Lunch area at the front of the store
“We know that speed and convenience are important to our Wisconsin customers, so we are continuously looking for new ways to meet their needs,” said Voegeli. “By remodeling our stores and expanding time-saving services, such as Grab & Go areas and Grocery Pickup, we are making shopping easier for busy families.”
To reinforce Walmart’s dedication to the communities it serves, the store manager presented $9,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations, including:
● $1,500 to the Monroe Fire Department
● $1,500 to the Monroe Booster Club
● $1,000 to the St. Victor School
● $1,500 to the Monroe Wrestling Club
● $2,500 to the Monroe Shop with a Cop Program
● $1,000 to the Green County Humane Society
