DARLINGTON - The Lafayette County UW-Extension office will be offering free pressure canner testing from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, July 13 in the Floral Hall building during the Lafayette County Fair.
Mary Knellwolf, family living educator at the Lafayette County University of Wisconsin-Extension office, will be offering the free service.
Pressure canners should be tested yearly for safety when preserving garden products. Inaccurate pressure canner readings during the canning process may result in food spoilage and food borne illness.
