DODGEVILLE - The United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development office has funds available for home repair needs for very-low income homeowners in Green, Grant, Iowa, Lafayette and Dane counties. Loans are made at an interest rate of 1 percent and may be repaid over 20 years. These loans can be made to improve or modernize a home, make accessibility updates, or remove health and safety hazards, including rehabilitating or replacing storm doors, windows, steps, furnaces, water heaters, foundations or roofs.
