Two remain hospitalized after motorcycle accident

TOWN OF CLARNO - Two people from Albany remained hospitalized Friday afternoon after they were flown by MedFlight helicopters from the scene of a truck vs. motorcycle accident Thursday evening south of Monroe.

Kevin P. Donahue, 57, and his passenger Sherri K. Donahue, 54, were ejected from their motorcycle in the crash, reported at 8:46 p.m. Thursday on Wisconsin 69 at County P, Town of Clarno.

As of Friday afternoon, Kevin Donahue was listed in good condition and Sherri Donahue was listed in serious condition at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.

According to the Green County Sheriff's Office, Donahue was northbound on Wis. 69 when a truck driven by Gary L. Hoffman, 72, Monroe, attempted to cross the highway on County P and collided with his motorcycle.

Hoffman and his passenger, Grace Hoffman, 79, Monroe, were uninjured in the crash.

The Donahues were wearing eye protection but no helmets. The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was towed. Hoffman's truck sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

Hoffman was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign.

The Monroe Police and Fire Departments and Green County EMS assisted deputies at the scene.
