Two men charged in Twining Park burglary

Bradley A. Miller Charged with property damage and burglary
MONROE - Two Monroe men made their initial appearances in Green County Circuit Court on Wednesday for charges related to an attempted burglary and damage done to the concession stand and soda machine May 22 at Twining Park.

Bradley A. Miller, 19, was charged with burglary to a building, a class F felony, criminal damage to property and two counts of bail jumping, all class A misdemeanors. He faces more than 14 years in prison and up to $55,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $3,000 signature bond.

At the time of his arrest Tuesday, Miller was free on a $1,000 signature bond for four counts of bail jumping, all class A felonies, and one count of disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor at the time of the incident at Twining Park. He also was free on a $1,500 signature bond for battery, criminal damage to property and theft, all class A misdemeanors, and one count of disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor.

Cody J. Vavra, 18, was charged with burglary to a building, a class F felony, and criminal damage to property, a class A misdemeanor. He faces more than 13 years in prison and up to $35,000 in fines.

He is free on a $3,000 signature bond.

Preliminary hearings for both men are June 24.

According to a news release issued Wednesday by Monroe Police Chief Fred Kelley, the two were arrested at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday after an investigation into the burglary and property damage at Twining Park. Police had just released photos of two suspects from a surveillance camera at the park earlier in the day Tuesday.
