Two injured, several cited in alleged drunk driving crash

TOWN OF JEFFERSON - Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident, and when they called their friends to try to tow the vehicle, the friends were cited.

Bruce M. Trumble, 24, Juda, was eastbound in the W42000 block of Wisconsin 11 when his vehicle entered the south ditch, went down an embankment, hit several trees, and hit the ditch and various debris before becoming stuck. Trumble and his passenger, Brittany H. Graber, 25, Verona, both sustained injuries but declined EMS.

Trumble then called three friends to help him remove his vehicle, but they were unable to. Travis D. Segner, 29, Monroe; Kendra A. Debord, 21, Monroe; and Timothy G. Robinson, 25, Monroe, drove to the scene. All of them were cited or arrested.

Trumble was arrested at 5:05 a.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated, second offense, and was cited for obstruction, failure to notify police of an accident and failure to maintain control of a vehicle.

Graber was cited for failure to notify police of an accident and obstruction.

The occupants of the second vehicle, Segner, Debord and Robinson, were all cited for obstruction. All subjects were released pending court.
