MADISON - A jury trial is scheduled to begin today in Dane County for a man charged in the death of his autistic half-brother, the Wisconsin State Journal reported Monday.

Jeffrey Vogelsberg, 30, Madison, faces charges of first-degree intentional homicide in the death of Matthew Graville, 27, whose body was found buried near Lone Rock in November 2012. Graville, who had Asperger's syndrome, had been missing since June 30 of that year.

Vogelsberg is also charged with hiding a corpse and intimidating a witness.

Vogelsberg was living in Mazomanie with Graville in the home of Robert McCumber, 30, where the abuse that allegedly led to Graville's death occurred.

The jury will hear opening statements this morning, and testimony is expected to last into next week, according to the report.

Vogelsberg's mother, Laura Robar, 51, was found guilty of using Graville's public assistance card to buy groceries after pleading no contest in February 2013 to identity theft. Robar, who according to court records currently resides in Monroe, was sentenced to a year in jail.

Graville had lived in Monroe as recently as 2010.
