Town of Magnolia dead named

TOWN OF MAGNOLIA — Rock County Medical Examiner Dr. Agnieszka Rogalska’s office released the names of the two people found dead in a North Marsh Road home in western Rock County on Dec. 26, 2025. Tamie M. Borgwardt, 53, and Jeffrey A. Borgwardt, 54, both of Evansville, were found dead at about 4:49 p.m. on the day after Christmas at their home in the 2300 block of North Marsh Road in Magnolia Township.

When deputies arrived on scene and received no answer at the residence. Deputies made entry into the residence and located what appeared to be two adult-aged people, deceased inside the residence.

“The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate, however, evidence at the scene showed a violent act occurred between the two individuals that were recently identified by the Rock County Medical Examiner,” said Sheriff Curtis N. Fell in a press release Jan. 5. “At this time there is no reason to believe a third party was involved in the incident. Any further updates will be provided by the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office.”
