Updated state rankings has Monroe at 220
school rankings 2021

Belleville High School outranked nearly 500 of Wisconsin’s 540 high schools, including all other Green and Lafayette County schools, in U.S. News & World Report’s 2021 best high school rankings.

The rankings are based off reading and mathematics proficiency and performance, college readiness and curriculum breadth, and graduation rate. Belleville received a total score of 89.89.

With a graduation rate of 97% and college readiness score of 51.8, Belleville was rated 49th in the state, just two above New Glarus at 51. New Glarus has a 100% graduation rate and 36.2 college readiness score.

Darlington topped the rankings for Lafayette County with a 56th-place ranking thanks to its 90% graduation rate and 28.4 college readiness score. Pecatonica followed behind at 99th with a 97% graduation rate and 31.1 college readiness score.

Shullsburg took home 117th with a graduation rate of 98% and a college readiness score of 9.3.

Cuba City’s 97% graduation rate and 18.4 college readiness score placed it at 202nd in the state.

Following slightly behind is Belmont High at 207. Belmont has a 100% graduation rate and college readiness score of 9.3.

At 220th is Monroe, with a graduation rate of 98% and college readiness score of 25.1.

Benton placed 278th and has a 96% graduation rate. It is unranked for college readiness. Also unranked for college readiness is Juda High, which followed closely behind Benton at 284th. Juda’s graduation rate is 100%.

With a 92% graduation rate, Albany ranked 324 in the state. Albany, along with 341st-ranked Argyle, does not have a college readiness score. Argyle’s graduation rate is 96%.

Black Hawk placed 349th of the state’s 540 high schools. Its graduation rate is 100%. Falling slightly behind Black Hawk is Brodhead with a 13.3 college readiness score and 90% graduation rate.

Monticello is tied with nearly 100 other schools for 366-462nd. The state’s remaining 78 schools are unranked.
