Times earns first-place award

MONROE - The Monroe Times earned a first-place award in the 2010 Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation Contest at the WNA's annual meeting in Appleton Friday.

The Times sales team of Diane Albright, Tai Ruegsegger, Steve Allen, Mae Burke and Laura Hughes, Advertising Sales Manager, took first place in the category of Best Advertising Idea Series. The award was granted for the weekly Boy Scouts tribute which was published on Fridays for the past year. The series ended last Friday.

The WNA has 225 members newspapers, both dailies and weeklies, from around the state. It was established in 1853 and is the oldest press association in the world.
