DARLINGTON — A Darlington man was arrested last week after police responded to a report that he was visibly intoxicated and armed with knives and a loaded handgun inside a cellphone store.
Michael G. Adams, 41, was arrested on a charge of endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon at about 2:50 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at the Tri-Com U.S. Cellular store, 193 Christensen Dr.
“He did not threaten anyone but was acting suspicious so U.S. Cellular called it in,” according to Darlington Chief of Police Jason King.
Adams was disarmed and arrested without incident, then released to a sober adult pending court, King said.
