NEW GLARUS - The death of 27-year-old Anthony Paddock is being investigated after officers responded early Saturday to a 911 call at his residence.

Paddock's girlfriend called 911 at about 7:30 a.m. to report he was unresponsive, according to New Glarus Police Chief Burt Boldebuck.

Green County deputies, New Glarus EMS and police responded to the home at 4th Avenue and 2nd Street and determined Paddock was dead.

Police won't confirm a cause of death until official toxicology test results come back from the state crime lab. That could take up to four months.

"There was nothing indicating outside physical trauma to the body," Boldebuck said.

Still, investigators consider the Paddock's death suspicious and are seeking tips. Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to call New Glarus Police at (608) 527-2145 or the Crime Stoppers hotline, (800) 422-7463.

Funeral arrangements for Paddock are being handled at the Ellestad Camacho Funeral Home in Black Earth.
