MONROE - The Green County Sheriff's Office continues to seek information on a man suspected of an assault Jan. 4 on Stateline Road in rural Juda.

The suspect reportedly entered a home through an unlocked door, according to the sheriff's department. When he was confronted by the occupant, he spoke briefly under the pretense of purchasing a barn on the property, and then knocked the woman to the floor before fleeing. Investigators believe the suspect intended to commit a burglary before encountering the victim.

The Janesville Police Department sketch artist provided a composite image of the suspect. He is described as white, in his mid 20s, approximately 5 foot 8 or 9 inches, 160 pounds, with dark hair and dark facial hair. Anyone recognizing the suspect should call the Green County Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau at 608-328-9580.
